What personal data we collect when you rent from us, why we hold it, and how long we keep it.
1. What we collect
- Identity and contact details: name, phone number, email address, and copies of your licence, Emirates ID or passport as required by UAE rental regulations.
- Booking details: vehicle, dates, delivery address, and the contract itself.
- Payment details: processed by our payment provider. We do not store full card numbers on our systems.
- Website data: basic analytics such as pages visited and device type.
2. Why we hold it
To prepare and fulfil your rental contract, to meet legal obligations under UAE traffic and rental regulations, to pass on Salik tolls and traffic fines accurately, to contact you about an active booking, and to keep accounting records as required by UAE tax law.
We use your details for marketing only if you have opted in, and every marketing message carries an unsubscribe option.
5. How long we keep it
Contract and accounting records are kept for the period UAE law requires. Enquiry details that never became a booking are deleted within twelve months. Marketing contacts are removed as soon as you unsubscribe.
6. Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct anything inaccurate, ask us to delete data we are not legally required to keep, and withdraw marketing consent at any time. Email info@gkcarrental.ae and we will respond within 30 days.
7. Security
Documents are stored on access-controlled systems and shared only with staff who need them to process your rental. Payment pages are encrypted in transit.
